Quick answers
Price questions
Why are Steam games more expensive in the UK?
We do not have enough recent UK and US prices to compare yet. Publishers also set each country's price themselves rather than converting the US price.
Do UK Steam prices include VAT?
Valve says Steam shows prices the way each country expects: tax included in some, added at checkout in others. UK prices are shown with VAT included; US prices are shown before sales tax is added.
Is it cheaper to buy Steam games in another country?
Prices differ by region, but buying through another country's store to pay less can break Steam's terms and get an account locked. Our price pages show regional prices so you know the gap, not as a workaround.
