What Baptiste is
Baptiste is an unreleased adventure game in development at Digital Dreams, currently scheduled for 31 October 2026. It was published by Firenut Games. It is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Unreal Engine 5. It carries an ESRB T age rating.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Devastated by a family tragedy, Sara and her son, Tom, seek a new start at Jagged Shore Cliff, a remote cliff in the United Kingdom. However, their worst fear is waiting for them there. In their new and mysterious home, a dusty cabinet holds Baptiste, an unsettling doll accompanied by an ominous warning: “Never release this from its glass prison.” What ought to have been a shelter becomes the scene of a nightmare that defies all logic, putting their sanity and desire to survive to the test. Dare you enter the depths of this cursed mansion? Be careful, while you are searching for answers, Baptiste is searching for you. The mystery awaits... If you have the courage to face it.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are horror and survival. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel i7, 16 GB RAM and Nvidia RTX 2070. A 16GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
