The premise, in the publisher's words
Test your reflexes and awareness as you simultaneously guide two lovable balls through 101 brightly coloured challenges in the world's first concentration platformer. Control both at exactly the same time using the same set of controls and watch out for hazards. Oh, and there are jokes!
How it plays
It is played from a side view perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. There are 21 achievements to unlock.
How it was received
Binaries holds a critic score of 65 out of 100. That places it above 26% of the 2,164 rated arcade games in our database, which average 70. Games released in 2016 averaged 68, so it scored 3 points below the year average.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for 2.0 GHz Dual Core Processor, 2 GB RAM and GeForce 8800 or equivalent. At 2GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today.
What it launched against
Binaries launched on 5 April 2016, within three weeks of Dark Souls III, Ratchet & Clank, Don't Starve Together and Quantum Break. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 3 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Dark Souls III, Ratchet & Clank, Don't Starve Together, Quantum Break.
