What Cat Me If You Can is
Cat Me If You Can is an indie game developed by Cosmic Stag Games and released in 2026. It is available on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Unreal Engine 5.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Cat Me If You Can is a charming and cozy game where you explore beautifully handcrafted black-and-white worlds, searching for hidden cats to photograph and bring their colours back into the world.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are comedy. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 4 GB. An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 6GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Cat Me If You Can launched on 8 September 2026, within three weeks of Marvel's Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Control Resonant and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. It arrived 6 years into the Xbox Series's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Marvel's Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Control Resonant, Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
