The premise, in the publisher's words
Cate P is a fast-paced one-button game. You score points by destroying the caterpillars crawling around you. When you press a button you will rotate clockwise and shoot in the direction you were looking at before. Try to hit the caterpillars and avoid being hit by them. You score points by shooting the segments of a caterpillar. The game is over when any caterpillar touches you.

Cate P launched on 25 June 2023, within three weeks of Diablo IV, Final Fantasy XVI, Dave the Diver and Amnesia: The Bunker. It arrived 3 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
