Core Keeper: Riders of the Underground update introduces rideable mounts for faster underground traversal, a new peaceful Moss sub-biome to explore, and enhanced magic gameplay for Mages and Summoners. A new Hookshot tool lets you cross dangerous pits, while three adorable new pets assist in combat. The update also adds dozens of new weapons, armor, rings, and necklaces, alongside quality-of-life improvements like gear comparison and customizable cursors.

It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action, kids, mystery and open world. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player.
