The premise, in the publisher's words
Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony, until an event known as the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the valley's hopeless inhabitants retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle. Now it falls to a new resident to explore the valley, rediscover the stories of the characters who once lived there, and drive back the darkness to bring the magic back to Dreamlight Valley.
