The tale unfolds in Ferelden, one of many kingdoms in the fictional world of Thedas. Deep beneath the surface dwell the Darkspawn, savage creatures who every few hundred years swarm up from the underground Deep Roads in a devastating cataclysm known as a Blight. For ages, the only force capable of turning back these tides has been the legendary order of warriors called the Grey Wardens. The story begins on the eve of Thedas's fifth Blight. The player character, whose humble beginnings vary by origin, is recruited into the Grey Wardens by their commander, Duncan, and travels south to the fortress of Ostagar. What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core 2 Single 1.6 Ghz Processor (or equivalent) or AMD 64 2.0 GHz Processor (or equivalent), 1GB (1.5 GB Vista and Windows 7) of RAM and ATI Radeon X850 256MB or NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT 128MB or greater (Windows Vista: Radeon X1550 256 MB or NVidia GeForce 7600GT 256MB). At 1GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 20GB. Add experience
Grants the experience given. Change 1000 to any amount.
Open the console and type the command.
Add money
Adds the number of coins given. Change 1000 to any amount.
Open the console and type the command.
Enable the console
Added to the launch shortcut, this turns the console on.
Right-click the shortcut, choose Properties, and add the flag after the exe path.
Give the console a key
The console has no key bound by default, which is why it appears not to work even after the flag is set.
Open Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\keybindings.ini, find the OpenConsole_0 line and set it to a key such as Grave, then save.
This is the step most guides leave out, and without it the flag alone does nothing.
