What Dungeon of Departure is
Dungeon of Departure is an unreleased adventure game, currently scheduled for 19 November 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only. It runs on Ren'Py.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Dungeon of Departure is an independently developed, pixel art, visual novel set in an original universe. The story follows the silent, player protagonist and three companion characters as they struggle to find a way out of an increasingly puzzling, underground world. Choices matter as your decisions can lead you through four unique story paths. Plus, throughout the journey, your team will be relying on your way-finding and map-making abilities, which will determine the success or failure of these paths, resulting in eight unique endings.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are drama, fantasy and mystery. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for 2.0 Ghz 64-bit Intel-compatible, 4 GB RAM and OpenGL 3.0 or DirectX 11. At 4GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 1GB.
