The premise, in the publisher's words
The crown fell in a war and the guilds were the only institutions left standing. The succession they improvised to survive is a competition: whoever wins the Crucible holds the realm until the next one, and it is fought in the Ninefold Vale on the ground where the throne used to sit. Seventy-two guilds live in real cities across seven regions.
How it plays
It is played from a text perspective. Its themes are drama, fantasy and survival. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
