Villedor is evolving, offering a faster progression system that lets you unlock skills more quickly. Dive into iconic combat and movement abilities sooner and explore new Community Maps & Mods. Let’s see what we’ve prepared for you in the latest patch to Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Balance ImprovementsWe've boosted XP gains from main missions, with a smaller boost to side missions, allowing players to access skills like heavy attacks, drop kicks, and slides more quickly. This adjustment enhances the pacing and enjoyment in the first 10 hours, providing a more engaging and diverse gameplay experience early on. By earning skills faster, players can dive into endgame content sooner, interacting with legend levels earlier in their journey. UV Lightning ImprovementsWe've fine-tuned the parameters of UV light sources within the game to enhance visual coherence and alignment with the current color grading and material tones. Notably, the UV flashlight, both in-game and during cutscenes, has been updated from a pink-purple hue to a more subdued pale blue to better complement the game's aesthetic. This change extends to all UV lights on the game map and within cutscenes, including interactive objects such as UV flares and UV flashlights. Please note that this patch focuses exclusively on lighting adjustments, and no other gameplay elements are being modified at this time. Viral Rush - Fully LoadedPrepare for heightened tension in Villedor as Virals become immune to sunlight, making them a threat around the clock. Players will face increased chances of encountering Virals during firearm use, weapon hits, and Screamer screams, with the periodic appearance of a special Viral with enhanced immunities for greater defense - though only basic Virals will spawn from other actions. To support survival efforts, all firearms now feature infinite ammo.Game UpdatesAside from all the news from Update 1.29 above, we’ve also introduced the following fixes and improvements to the game:CoopFixed the issue with grenade explosion triggering "ear ringing" audio event when a coop player is in the range of the effectFixed the issue with the elevator being improperly implemented for the peer after restoring the power in the electrical substation during “A Place to Call Home” missionGameplayFixed the issue with UV trap not emitting light when usedFixed the issue with some improperly placed vegetation and terrainFixed the issue with various NPC intersecting with geometryFixed the improper animation of throwing the spearTechnicalFixed various crashesFixed the missing localizations to multiple Tolga bountiesFixed the issue with Subscribe and View functions sharing the same button on a controllerFixed the issue with Aiden falling through the map in the elevator during “Markers of Plague” mission and is able to remain stuck thereFixed the issue with Aiden's head sometimes disappearing when loading game with a skin equippedFixed the issue with Aiden's head disappearing when picking the first weapon in the PrologueFixed issue with missing multiple VO lines for BarneyFixed the issue with Renderer setting not being saved after changing and restarting the title

Early Game Experience ImprovementsIn patch 1.28, we're excited to unveil enhancements to the early game experience in Dying Light 2: Stay Human. We've refined the prologue to be shorter and more engaging, letting players dive into the core of the game quicker. We improved the lighting in prologue cutscenes, removed yellow markers, and adjusted color grading. To help new players acclimate, the encounter difficulty in the Old Town's Houndfield has been adjusted for a smoother transition, along with a reduced number of Volatiles in the early stages. In Region 1, Volatiles now have slower detection and attacks, offering a fairer challenge. Additionally, looting has been spiced up with the chance for random rare drops from infected, adding an element of unpredictability to your scavenging. These updates are designed to create a captivating and balanced early game journey. Alongside this, our newly introduced discount management system brings clarity with real-time sales indicators and countdowns.
