The premise, in the publisher's words
Set during the turbulent final years of the Han dynasty, the story follows Ziluan, an amnesiac wanderer who knows only that he must find the hero destined to unite a China torn apart by rebellion and warlords. As he travels the land amid the Yellow Turban uprising and the schemes of tyrants like Dong Zhuo, a young healer named Yuanhua uses incense to help him recover fragments of his lost memories, while three mysterious figures from his past variously aid, guide, and stand against him. Along the way Ziluan crosses paths with the era's great leaders, and the ally he chooses to follow shapes the course of the wars that will decide the fate of the realm.

What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-8400 or higher, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or higher, 12 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (VRAM 6GB) or better, AMD Radeon RX 590 (VRAM 8GB) or better. A 12GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. Install size is roughly 50GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Dynasty Warriors: Origins launched on 17 January 2025, within three weeks of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist, Eternal Strands and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 5 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist, Eternal Strands, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD.
