Decades had passed since humans were forced to abandon Sunderu, their ancestral homeland, to escape an invasion of creatures that had emerged from nowhere. Freya is a formidable and experienced warrior as well as one of the defenders of the village of Ezalm, even though she is unable to use magic following an accident that occurred when she was young.
