What Full Metal Schoolgirl is
Full Metal Schoolgirl is a shooter game developed by Yuke's and released in 2025. It was published by D3 Publisher. It is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on Unreal Engine 5.
The premise, in the publisher's words
In the year 2089, the United Federation of Japan is an industrial powerhouse, while also being one of the world’s leading countries in overtime work. In this sickening future, the economy is booming and working 24 hours a day is considered virtuous. The core of this country’s industry, economy, and social system are controlled by a single giant corporation. The rampage of a fully mechanized schoolgirl—a fully armed cyborg heroine storms into a giant corporation and unleashes a relentless barrage of gunfire and sword action in this exhilarating cyborg schoolgirl action adventure. The feeling of immorality is irresistible when you break into an office and wreak havoc.
How it plays
It is played from a third person perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. There are 38 achievements to unlock.
How it was received
Full Metal Schoolgirl holds a critic score of 77 out of 100. That places it above 61% of the 3,306 rated shooter games in our database, which average 70. Games released in 2025 averaged 78, so it scored about average for its year.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i7 7700K, 16 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. A 16GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. Install size is roughly 9GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it launched against
Full Metal Schoolgirl launched on 23 October 2025, within three weeks of Battlefield 6, Ghost of Yotei, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 and ARC Raiders. All of them reviewed better. It arrived 5 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Battlefield 6, Ghost of Yotei, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, ARC Raiders.
