The premise, in the publisher's words
Garten of Banban is set in Banban's Kindergarten. The Kindergarten was closed due to recent cases of children going missing in the kindergarten. In the game, the Player, who is presumably a parent who after getting tired that nobody can find their missing child, decided, to go into the Kindergarten and find their child and other missing children themself. But they slowly start to discover the horrifying secrets of the Kindergarten.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are action, fantasy, horror and mystery. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What it launched against
Garten of Banban launched on 6 January 2023, within three weeks of Dead Space, Hi-Fi Rush, Pizza Tower and Hitman World of Assassination. It arrived 3 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
