The premise, in the publisher's words
Dainichikoukoku, a country much like Japan in the early 1900s. At a time when the sound of military boots could be heard, the army established the secret intelligence department "Theatres". Among the personnel gathered to serve as spies, the protagonist, Hachiya, is among them. In front of the corpse of the man who was supposed to be his superior - with a face as gloomy as ever and an unmoving prosthetic hand. "Now, let's get to work."
