Megaton Musashi X is set on Earth in the year 2118. The main characters pilot giant machines called “Musashi” to combat the Dorakuta, invaders from outer space that destroyed the planet in a matter of days. This game was originally called Megaton Musashi and released on November 11th 2021 in Japan. They later decided to go free-to-play and re-branded the game as Megaton Musashi X.
How it plays
It is played from a third person perspective. Its themes are action, science fiction and survival. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player.
What it launched against
Megaton Musashi: Cross launched on 11 November 2022, within three weeks of God of War Ragnarök, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Bayonetta 3 and Signalis. It arrived 2 years into the PlayStation 5's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
