In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033. An entire generation has been born and raised underground, and their besieged Metro Station-Cities struggle for survival, with each other, and the mutant horrors that await outside. You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are action, horror, science fiction and stealth. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. There are 49 achievements to unlock.

What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Dual Core CPU (2.2+ GHz Dual Core CPU or better), 2 GB RAM and DirectX 10, Shader Model 4 compliant graphics cards (GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB, GeForce GTS 250, etc). At 2GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Install size is roughly 10GB.
