What Near the Sun: Chapter 1 is
Near the Sun: Chapter 1 is an unreleased adventure game in development at Nonlinear, currently scheduled for 31 December 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only.
The premise, in the publisher's words
God's punishment burns the earth to ashes, and eventually consumes the underground world as well. A stylish 2D stealth action game where how you explore determines your fate. A boy carries his sister on his back and races through the underground world.
How it plays
Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for intel Core i3, 8 GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 950. An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 8GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
