What Octbuster: Video Rental Store Cleanup is
Octbuster: Video Rental Store Cleanup is an unreleased indie game, currently scheduled for 31 December 2026. It is available on Mac and PC (Microsoft Windows).
The premise, in the publisher's words
Octbuster is a cozy organization game about closing up an 80s video rental store after hours as an octopus. With the help of your kitten pals, scoop up piles of procedurally placed VHS tapes with real tentacle arms and sort over 10,000 of them however you want. No timer, no score, no way to lose.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 580 8GB (Shader Model 5.0). An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 6GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
