The premise, in the publisher's words
When the Elder was sealed, entities far beyond the borders of the Atlas of Worlds took note and turned their attention in our direction. The first such visitor is an entity called The Maven. She is hungry to witness your fight for survival against the Atlas' most dangerous foes. Accept her challenge to put your talents and mortality to the test. Should you prove worthy, she will offer you a taste of her vast power.
How it plays
It is played from a bird view / isometric perspective. Its themes are action and fantasy. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player.

Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas launched on 15 January 2021, within three weeks of Hitman 3, Omori, The Medium and Skul: The Hero Slayer. It arrived 8 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
