What Shell as Hard as Steel is
Shell as Hard as Steel is an unreleased adventure game in development at ACID DROP, currently scheduled for 31 December 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only.
The premise, in the publisher's words
You are an elevator repair technician sent out on a night shift to restore service to the elevator of the tallest office tower in the city. The task seems simple: calibrate the elevator, climb floor by floor and repair the traction system at the very top. But nothing inside the building adds up. Every floor sits at a different height and the official blueprints are useless. To keep climbing, you'll have to reconstruct each missing measurement from the clues left behind by those who were trapped inside.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are horror. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i5-6400 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 8 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (4 GB) / AMD Radeon RX 560. An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. Install size is roughly 4GB. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
