It is played from a third person perspective. Its themes are action. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player.

Survivalist: Invisible Strain launched on 25 April 2025, within three weeks of Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Blue Prince and South of Midnight. It arrived 5 years into the Xbox Series's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
