How it was received
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown holds a critic score of 75 out of 100. That places it above 59% of the 1,168 rated racing games in our database, which average 68. Games released in 2024 averaged 76, so it scored about average for its year.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel Core i7-4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 12 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 4 GB or AMD Radeon RX 570, 4 GB or Intel Arc A380, 6 GB. A 12GB memory requirement is demanding — worth checking before you buy, because 8GB is still common in older and budget machines. It also needs around 110GB of free storage, which is a real consideration on a 512GB drive. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
