In Europe, the renowned biochemist and geneticist Dr. Curien becomes consumed by an obsession with unlocking the secrets of life and death. Backed by the DBR Corporation and its team of scientists, his behavior grows increasingly erratic and his experiments turn grotesque and inhumane, until his sprawling mansion and laboratory erupt with genetically engineered monsters.
