What The World's Shortest Horror Game is
The World's Shortest Horror Game is an unreleased indie game in development at Playmoth Games, currently scheduled for 22 October 2026. It is available on PC (Microsoft Windows) only.
The premise, in the publisher's words
A lone player faces an old monitor displaying a single invitation: START. With no instructions and no way to know what waits beyond the button, curiosity becomes the only path forward. One click begins a brief, unsettling encounter designed to end almost as soon as it starts.
How it plays
Its themes are comedy and horror. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for 64-bit dual-core processor, 2048 MB RAM and DirectX 11 compatible graphics. At 2GB of RAM, it will run on essentially any working PC — that is below what a budget laptop ships with today. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
