The premise, in the publisher's words
The Wolves, a lethal unit of former Ghosts and ex US military operatives gone rogue, have seized the island of Auroa. They are led by Lt. Colonel Cole D. Walker, once a brother in arms to the veteran operative Nomad. The Wolves have reprogrammed Skell's drones into killing machines and stand ready to unleash them regardless of the cost in lives. Nomad and the Ghosts are deployed on a recon mission, but their helicopters are shot down. Injured, cut off from support, and hunted across hostile terrain, they must fight to survive, bring down the Wolves, and regain control of Auroa.

It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player.
