Young Prince Selius possesses a rare aptitude for magic, but when he recklessly misuses his father's spellbook, he unleashes the shadow of his own soul, an act that destroys his family's castle. Fearful of his uncontrollable power, his parents send him away to the Astral Academy, yet even its skilled wizards prove unable to tame his nightmare magic, and the troubled prince eventually escapes.
