Based on the first three entries of the Ultraman tokusatsu franchise: Ultraman, Ultraseven, and Return of Ultraman, this game is notable for not having the Ultras as controllable characters. Instead, the player battles various kaijus by taking control of the three Defense Teams: SSSP, Ultra Guard, and MAT. At the end of each mission, the player receives funding based on combat performance, such as number of kaiju defeated and amount of collateral damage. In between missions, the player can upgrade the various vehicles and weapons using the funds.
