The first game in the Zero Escape series, originally made as a standalone title "Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors". The Zero Escape rebranding and alternative cover of the game were released alongside its sequel in the "Zero Escape: The Nonary Games". This version features updated artwork, voice acting, the choice of novel and adventure mode's and the addition of the FLOW Chart, along with other changes to adapt the game for a single screen from the original's two screens.
How it plays
It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are horror, mystery, survival and thriller. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component.

Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors launched on 24 March 2017, within three weeks of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition and Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. It arrived 4 years into the PlayStation 4's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
