What Forza Motorsport is
Forza Motorsport is a racing game developed by Turn 10 Studios and released in 2023. It was published by Xbox Game Studios. It is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Microsoft Windows). It runs on ForzaTech.
The premise, in the publisher's words
Out-build the competition in the new career. Race your friends in adjudicated multiplayer events. Compete in over 500 cars on world-famous tracks with cutting-edge AI, advanced physics, tire and fuel strategy, and driver and safety ratings.

It is played from a first person perspective. Its themes are non-fiction. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer component. Available modes: Co-operative, Multiplayer and Single player. There are 57 achievements to unlock.
Where it sits in the Forza series
Forza Motorsport is the 58th of 62 entries we hold in the Forza series. The next entry was Forza Motorsport: Deluxe Edition in 2023. Its critic score of 88 is almost exactly the series average of 86. The highest-rated entry is Forza Horizon 5 at 94.
How it was received
Forza Motorsport holds a critic score of 88 out of 100. That places it above 92% of the 1,168 rated racing games in our database, which average 68. Games released in 2023 averaged 76, so it scored 12 points above the year average. Player ratings track closely with critics at 84, across 69 votes.
What you need to run it
The minimum specification calls for Intel i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB RAM and NVidia GTX 1060 or AMD RX 5500 XT or Intel A380. An 8GB memory requirement is modest by current standards; most machines sold in the last five years clear it. It also needs around 130GB of free storage, which is a real consideration on a 512GB drive. Both tiers are compared side by side on the requirements page, and you can check your own parts against them without installing anything.
What it costs, and where
Storefront pricing varies enormously by country: Egypt is the cheapest region we track at $14.09 (about $14.09), while South Africa pays R 559.60 — 2.4 times more. In Pakistan it is priced at Rs 14 on Steam, which is about $14.09.
What it launched against
Forza Motorsport launched on 10 October 2023, within three weeks of Alan Wake II, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It reviewed better than 1 of the 4. It arrived 3 years into the Xbox Series's life, so it was built for hardware developers already knew well.
Released around the same time: Alan Wake II, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
