Confirmed

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S. Announced by Rockstar.

PC

Reported

No PC version has been announced. Every previous Grand Theft Auto came to PC later — GTA V arrived on PC 19 months after console — so a PC release is likely but is not confirmed and has no date.

Pre-load opens at local midnight on 12 November. Our pre-load and unlock page counts down to both in your own time zone.

Quick answers

GTA 6 release date questions

What is the GTA 6 release date?
19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar announced this after two previous dates slipped.
Will GTA 6 be delayed again?
Nobody outside Rockstar knows. What is on record is that the game has been delayed twice — from a 2025 window to May 2026, then to November 2026 — and that Rockstar has historically delayed rather than shipped an unfinished game. Treat any specific claim about a third delay as a rumour unless Take-Two says it.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC at launch?
No PC version has been announced. Every previous Grand Theft Auto came to PC later — GTA V arrived on PC 19 months after console — so a PC release is likely but is not confirmed and has no date.
What time does GTA 6 unlock?
Rockstar has not announced an unlock time. The PlayStation Store listings show midnight local time on 19 November (in the US that is midnight Eastern, 9pm Pacific on 18 November). Store listings can change.
When can I pre-load GTA 6?
Pre-load begins at local midnight on 12 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, for digital pre-orders and for boxed codes redeemed before launch. The boxed version contains a download code, not a disc. It goes on sale from 12 November 2026 so it can pre-load too.
Can I pre-order GTA 6?
Yes. Pre-orders opened at midnight local time on 25 June 2026 on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store and select retailers: $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US. See our price page for other regions.
